People don't often think of the mainland when they think about Greece, but here in Attika, there's plenty of beaches, tavernas and historical sites to wet your appetite. Local sites which I have been to are the Acroplois at Rhamnous, Sounion, Temple of Vravrona at Artemis. I live in Nea Makri which is alive with Tavernas and bars.
